Summer Time

I love summer.  Really.  I love the kids NOT being in school.  I love the freedom to up and go as we need or want.  I love the more laid back feeling that summer offers.  Only this summer has not felt laid back at all!  It has felt BUSY.  And Exhausting!  Ugh..

But, we have done some fun things.
   1.  We went on vacation with family!  Beach, Cousins, Bike Rides, Swimming, Movies, Books, Walks....  we checked out a totally new place this summer - Cape Charles, VA and it was lovely!  I'll do another post shortly on what Cape Charles is like.   :)

2. We visited Longwood Gardens and saw the lily pads!

3. We celebrated this boy turning 7.  oh my goodness!

4.  We have ridden horses and gone to horse camp.

5.  We have hiked while sister is at horse camp

AND..   we have been away on a mission trip (me and the youth group), attended and helped at Vacation Bible School, read books, watched movies, gotten our first Wii system (a hand me down from my sister) and have had fun dancing and conquering worlds with Mario and Luigi, ridden bikes, had fun nights at church, slept in, gotten up early, swam with cousins, played in creeks, colored a lot, built legos, spent afternoons at the pool and lots of other little things that make up summer.

What have you been up to this summer?!  Feel free to share some of your fun summertime memories in the comments.
