I'm Back!

This blog here has been on my mind for quite some time now.  The desire to write and share words has been deep in my heart.  The time to focus on it has not been there however and although I could argue the time is still not there, the desire is, so I'm back.  I'm back to share pictures and tell stories and encourage other women in this journey of motherhood and well..  Life.  Here's where life has taken us since I last posted..  however long ago.

That girl up there...  she's in 2nd grade now.  Stinker.  She is loving gymnastics but struggles with heel pain so we are trying to balance the activity and the rest because I watch her in the gym and she learns fast and she's good and it has taken me by surprise.  She also is loving theater.  She has performed in several plays/musicals now over at the Y and it is so much fun watching my kids on stage!  This time - she has a part with lots of lines and she. is. THRILLED.  I'm nervous for her.  They are doing Lion King  and she is Pumbaa..  ya know - the warthog.  the warthog that passes gas all the time.  My kid, my girly girl gets to play that role.  It's fitting.  Not in the passing gas way, but in the funny way.  She is funny and now she gets to do funny on stage and she is so excited!  She is currently as I type trying to do a headstand.  All day she is either doing gymnastics moves or doing theater..  sometimes both at the same time.  She continues to ask for a dog.  Someday I hope to get one for her but now yet.  She and I are doing devotions together at night before bed and she asks every night..  can we do devotions?  I'm enjoying it too.  It hurts my heart sometimes to realize she is growing up.  And yet...  what a pleasure to watch her and listen to her.  She's a talker that one.

Asher.  this boy is 8 now.  3rd grade.  I just filled out his 'intent to return' form for school and had to put 4th grade in the blank.  I can't handle it.  He is rocking school this year.  He loves writing and apparently has quite the audience in his class who are enjoying the 'books' he is writing.  He is also loving theater and is actually pretty good.  He had a lead role in the last play and my heart was full watching him.  My boy..  on stage singing and acting.  I felt like I could have burst with joy.  He has a lead in the Lion King as well.  Simba.  We have lots of lines to be memorizing here in our house.  He loves lego's  - particularly Ninjago one's.  And he will read about anything having to do with Ninjago.  Not sure what that is - Google it.  I can't explain it.  He does not like getting up so early for school.  Then again, neither do I, so I get it.  He doesn't want me to call him sweetheart anymore.  He's apparently too big for that now.

So, here we are.  Doing life one day at a time.  Sometimes well and sometimes, not so well.  But tomorrow is always a new day.

I plan on being back..  with more words and pictures.  Here in this little space of mine.  I hope you'll join me.
